Billy Bob Thornton and The Boxmasters Set To Release Third Album in April
Posted: Feb 28, 2009The Boxmasters, the band led by our friend and world class actor Billy Bob Thornton, have announced April 21st as the release date for their third album, Modbilly.
Just like their debut album last year, this one will feature two discs, one of originals and one filled with "Boxmastered" versions of "As Tears Go By" (Rolling Stones), "Gentle On My Mind" (John Hartford, a big hit for Glen Campbell), "Half a Mind" (Roger Miller, a big hit for Ernest Tubb), among others
They will embark on a six-city tour of Texas in March, including a March 18 appearance at the South by Southwest music conference. A summer tour will follow. If it's anything like last year's tour, you need to be there. for sure.
