Dreamer

I've been called
A dreamer
With no future at all

Loser
They say I won't succeed
Refuser
To conformity

"Dreamer"

-A light rain falls on the Georgia coast during this Christmas Eve. We updated the photography aspect of the site as well as other recent improvements to enhance this portal to the South. The site's not a month old, and not even one-fourth of the content is up--so with each daily visit you'll discover something new.
-The end of the year causes everyone to reckon and reflect on people, places, and time. Let us raise a glass to those who are no longer with us. Historically, if we look across the South, many--or almost all--of our heroes were underdogs in their lives. Since the late 1800's, the South proved to be perceived with a stereotypical distorted lens. Especially southern artists--they were stigmatized as backward slow talkers, poverty-stricken losers, persons of color, and ill-bred dreamers.
-We all understand this skewed perception exists far from the truth. Arguably, many of America's greatest storytellers, musicians, athletes, cooks, and other artists were southern. These people paid heavy prices for their life's cultivations and this definitive "field guide to the south" allows a light to shine on those who made indelible contributions to what everyone takes for granted or remains oblivious to the cultural thread southern artists--dead & living--weaved into the every day American tapestry.
-During these holidays--love those around you...just because they aren't hailed as cultural icons doesn't mean they aren't artists...James Calemine

One great feature of having a super bright flashing lights or torch is that it will give bright light using simple AA batteries. The Emergency light will also run longer on these batteries than the regular strobe light. The lumens or bright light of police light is at ninety lumens.

Thanks, James. I've always been proud of my deep Southern roots. I've traced those Southern roots on both sides of my family back to the early 1800's. Keep up the good work. I'll be back often.
