A few notes from the underground on this early summer night...I just watched my Georgia Bulldogs blow a five run lead in the College World Series to lose 19-10 in the second of three games...tomorrow night's the night to decide the National Championship...

As the College World Series ends (hopefully with a UGA victory) watch the beautiful and talented Tift Merritt perform on David Letterman on June 25. Speaking of talented and beautiful...let's pay homage to artistic southern belles such as The Watson Twins, Emmylou Harris and Amy LaVere who all just released formidable discs dedicated to songcraft in a world of shallow imagery.
