In Nashville today Ryan Bingham received a nomination for the New Artist of the Year at the 7th Annual Americana Music Association Awards. Another Lost Highway artist, Hayes Carll, was nominated for Album of the Year (Trouble In Mind) and Song of the Year ("She Left Me for Jesus") this year.

Marc Ford produced Bingham's Mescalito disc and assisted Bingham in the recording of his latest batch of songs due out later this year. Also, watch Tift Merritt sing with Emmylou Harris on David Letterman tonight. My Tift interview should be up early next week. They might sing something from Emmylou's latest CD, All I Intended To Be...check it out,
