Sonny Edwards Reports from BamaJam; Hot Weather, Hotter Music

Bamajam wraps up tonight in Enterprise, Alabama. Our Alabama correspondent Sonny Edwards is smack dab in the middle of all the 95 degree heat and all the action. Sonny has been on the scene all three days, snappig photos and putting together a review of the massive 3-day fest.

Sonny says it is by far the most well organized festival he has ever attended, and everything is running like clockwork. He also told me that ZZ Top played their hearts out last night in what was one of the best shows he's seen them do in all of his many years of watching the Little Ol' Band from Texas.

Sonny said the crowds are massive, (51,000 last night) and they expect an even larger gathering tonight for Hank Williams, Jr. and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

As soon as Sonny gets home he will start putting together his report, and we'll bring it to you the minute he turns it in. Should be pretty cool.

I love this kind of concert. In the 70s you could see Wilson Pickett play on the same bill at a show with a rock group. It was about listening to good music. Today we had a outdoor event with beach Music, rock, R&B and 3rd Eye Blind. Radio use to be the same way you could hear Otis Reading and Led Zepplin on the same station. Formats killed music and aims people to one genre. Southern Rock is in my heart looks like Hatchet but listens to Merle Haggard
