after seeing some 80 shows at the beacon over the years, i have to say that this could be their best run of all. Greg sounds tremendous, derek and warren are killing the chords, butch, jaimoe and marc are playing their butts off. the music has been incrdible and the guests superb. cannot wait to see who else shows up over the next 2 weeks and the rumors are flying that clapton will appear on one of the remaining saturday shows but it will be even more of a mystery to see if dicky betts will be invited to play. For someone who was major part of this band for years, to have him not appear for the 40th would be an outrage. He' has had his moments with his drug abuse (and who hasn't) but the cowboy hat has to show up on the stage.
