by Michael Buffalo Smith

One of the most enigmatic and popular wrestlers of the seventies and eighties was the one and only Nature Boy Ric Flair. Met Flair at the Amaco station in Union, SC one night when I was a kid. He and Jimmy " Super Fly " Snuka had just finsihed a match in town and were in a limo together and had gotten out to buy some beer. What a thrill. He's still my all time favorite wrestler. Wooo....!

As a huge fan of Ric's, it was great to see this write up on him.No wrestler I can think of lived/lives the life style that Ric did/does. I hope this last sting (managering his sons against the Nasty Boys) will get him back to where he belongs.... Back in the wrestling business! I feel he was foolish to have quit the WWE, specially with the great money contract he had.

Flair is without a doubt the KING of pro wrestling. He walks the walk, talks the talk, and backs it up in the ring. Flair is the real deal unlike posers like Hulk Kogan and The Rock. I saw Flair many times during the seventies and he always gave 100 %. Great article Buffalo. I like this series a lot.
